Ok nice commercial for the Camera
NOT for MS Awareness !
And how about normal life struggles.
Like buttoning, doing your hair, going to the park with your children, cleaning, etc…….
The money spent on these ads could have been spent more wisely. Sad

What a wonderful gift …thank you for giving those of us who suffer each day and mourn the life we once had the opportunity to revisit our old self. That was priceless!
It’s good. But what bothers me there’s people out there that are not in wheelchairs that are trying to live a life with MS. I have had MS 41 yrs. I have chronic fatigue & spasms in my legs that have sent me to the ER. I always see people who have had MS just a few years. I NEVER see anyone who has had MS as many years as I have & I know there are people out there because I’m on Facebook with them. We are out there, we have lived with MS most of our lives & we are positive living people. Why don’t we get a chance to tell our story? Sometimes I feel like people don’t believe we really have it. Well we do & we sure need a chance to give people hope. Maybe someday people will get it when they do ads & let the world know we do survive & live.
All the ads did was make me feel feel fed up and frustrated. These dont depicted ordinary people like parents who cant play with their kids as they wish anymore, doing things like walking to to the shop. Giving me a virtual world isnt going to make me feel any better. Worst ads for ms society so far
Love it! I am so sick of commercials showing MS patients doing far more than realistically possible! Makes me ashamed of myself! These cameras bring life back that has been sorely missed and joy in their hearts! Thank you!
I was diagnosed with MS 13 years ago. I feel blessed to be fortunate enough still walk. Some days it is by help of a cane and I fall often, but knowing that the things I love to do become more of a struggle. I love these commercials. I think it brings aa small insight to people that don’t understand what we go through. If the day comes that I can’t hike to tops of mountains anymore, I would love to look through this technology.
I believe the catch phrase “together we are stronger” refers to non MSers filming with the 360° camera and allowing an MSer to experience what they miss again, after not physically being able to do so anymore because of MS, is the “together”. However that wouldn’t work for me. As I sit here typing this, I’m crying just from my own memories of what I can’t do anymore after 30 years of MS and a wheelchair. If someone did that for me, although appreciative, I would cry or at least feel bad because I can’t do it anymore. Most of what I could do, I no longer can and to be reminded wouldn’t not be a positive for me. I’ve had to create a whole new life that excludes most of what I love to do and don’t want to be reminded. Long and short of it is, I agree with you, it wouldn’t leave this MSer feeling all warm and fuzzy. Please let us know how this goes Carolyn.
Both videos are good even though I prefer the first one with the surfing gentleman
Would love to know when you are going to show MS in the UK as we don’t get much advertised here unless you have cancer
I think your commercials should show what you have done and can do to fix people like my son. Not a commercial show what people like my son has lost while you bring in millions of dollars. Show and tell me that you have found a cure for PPMS, not what they have lost. Show me how much you have progressed in researching HSCT.
Lovely and inspiring people. But I wasn’t sure if this was a advertisement for the MS society or a commercial for the 360 camera. And come to think of it: I refuse to live vicariously through the recorded exploits of others (no matter how well-intentioned). I will find my own ways of enjoying the things I used to enjoy and exploring new frontiers. I cannot ride a regular bicycle any more, but found that I can still go everywhere I want on the electric bicycle my husband bought for me. One of my friends who is an actor and dancer turned 80 and joined the Pina Bausch dance troupe for people with limited mobility that took Europe by storm. A surfer-friend with MS who lost use of his legs uses two differently modified surfboards: one has a sail, the other one has a small electric engine and a propellor. Those are the kinds of adaptations I get excited about. And learning Spanish. Not looking backward in nostalgia, but always looking forward, and finding new challenges. I may have MS, but MS does not have me!
lovely! i love the image of connection, of friends understanding what has been lost, and finding a way to share an experience. there is SO much more to express, but this is a wonderful project. we should all be so lucky to have friends like this!
This misses the whole point. MS causes real turmoil. All these ads do is remind me of what was, it did little to explain (if it even tried to,) MS. My experience is the little things that are gone. The thing is while these ads are feel good (especially for those who produced this,) it made living MS is my fault and really doesn’t explain the struggle THAT HAPPENS EVERYDAY
Kate hope you are doing well. I loved those commercials. I’m always amazed at the energy you display and your constant effort to innovate new initiatives. Thanks for being there, Marcus B.
Virtual reality is nice. I can relive past events/etc in my mind, essentially any time I desire. I thought the advertisements conveys little about MS. Why waste the money?
In regards to the “Off My Wave” add I found it quite beautiful how technology enabled him to have some semblance of the rush he got from riding real waves. That said I’m super excited to see how technology’s exponential growth enables an ever growing amount of individuals to do what we might now view as unthinkable.
Sorry, but all they did was make me sad and miss the things I can’t do anymore! Watching by video would just make me feel more sad that I can’t do that anymore. Good for those people that it helped, but I think it’s kind of a downer, for me at least. It made me teary
This is so cool for these people to have the opportunity to do what made their heart sing in the past. I love it! MS might take some of the abilities away, but the memories are still in your heart . . forever!

Nice to see people experience activities that where so fulfilling to them before MS entered their lives. I am not sure that it conveys the message

Love Both of these commercials ! You get to feel / sense what you previously enjowed but can no longer do because of MS !
