Sergio Rodriguez is a continual user of MyCounterpane. He’s 33-years-old, lives in Phoenix, AZ and he has laid out his story from the first moment he was diagnosed with MS until today. And I, along and other users from MCP, have been with him every step of the way.
We were with him when, as a result of his MS diagnosis, his engagement ended and he was left in an empty house at a moment of “rock bottom” And this weekend, seven years after the day of diagnosis, we got to be with him on one of the most exciting nights of his life. Sergio got engaged!
In my two years of being part of this site, there have been a handful of times where I clicked onto a Moodifier entry and burst into tears. I wept because I knew why the moment was important. I recognized the full context of the personal story. I felt its power and I understood how far Sergio had come to get to where he is now. How glad I am that he chose to share his ups and downs with our incredible support system who just get it.
Sergio. I’m so proud of your incredible journey and for rising up from a terrible moment of loneliness to find your dream. This is why we do what we do. And I look forward to continuing to see more dreams coming true.

I’m so happy to have been able to share what I’ve gone through thus far as well as what’s to come moving forward; good and bad. MCP has changed my life in so many ways. I hope that my story, what I’ve gone through, and how I’ve overcome things will someday help others in their own struggles living with MS.
