Writer and Disability Advocate Liz Jackson was diagnosed with idiopathic neuropathy in 2012 after waking up one morning and, quite literally, falling out of bed.
Now forced to wear glasses and use a cane to walk, Liz found that she had no choices outside the cane and glasses she was given. There were no alternatives and no outlet for her to express her own personal style through her assistive gear. And that wasn’t cool with her.
There is a lack of variety for the disabled and Liz Jackson is on a mission to make a change – for herself and others. With 66% of assistive device manufacturers admitting to neither investing nor researching new products, Liz has taken it upon herself to change that statistic.
Watch the below video to meet Liz and learn about her retail crusade she aptly refers to as ‘Inclusive Retail.”
